Q: When is the application deadline?
A: Registration for the 2014 St.Vincent Geist Half Marathon will close on May 10, 2014 or if the maximum combined field of 7,000 participants has been reached before the date.
Q: How do I confirm my entry to the St.Vincent Geist Half Marathon?
A: All on-line registrations will be confirmed via email. If you mail your registration, you or a friend can check to see if your registration has been processed by clicking here.
Q: What time does the Half Marathon start?
A: The Half Marathon starts at 7:00 a.m. EST on May 17, 2014. The race start is just south of the intersection of 116th & Olio Road in Fishers.
Q: Daylight Savings Time
A: For those of you who are traveling to Indianapolis from outside of the state, Indianapolis now observes Daylight Savings Time, and is in the Eastern Time Zone. The St.Vincent Geist Half Marathon start time will remain at 7:00 a.m. EST.
Q: Where can I get my results for the St.Vincent Geist Half Marathon?
A: Results will be posted on the St.Vincent Geist Half Marathon website during the event. The official results will be emailed to your registration email address and posted after the race has concluded.
Q: Where do I get my race number?
A: You can pick up your race number at the Packet Pick-Up, located at St.Vincent Fishers Hospital.
Q: Where are the Aid Stations?
A: The Aid Stations are located approximately every 1.5 miles along the route and serve both water and Gatorade Endurance formula.
Q: What if I can’t finish the race?
A: There will be a bus following the last participants of the race. Anyone who cannot finish, or cannot keep up with the 16 minute/mile minimum pace can ride the bus to the Rest and Recovery Area.
Q: When does the race officially end?
A: Approximately 11:30 a.m. EST local time.
Q: Where should I meet my family after the race?
A: Meet your friends and family in the Family Reunion Area located in the Post-Race Party Area after the St.Vincent Geist Half Marathon & 5K at the start/finish line. This area will be divided by letter of the alphabet and will feature a live DJ. Please make meeting plans prior to the start of the event.
Q: Where can I check my gear during the race?
A: Gear check is provided for all participants, and is located at Ameriana Bank near the start/finish line (116th and Olio Road). Please use the bag and label provided in your packet, provided to you at packet pick-up.
Q: Can I defer until next year?
A: There are no refunds for the Half Marathon or 5K events. You can not defer your entry.

Q: Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
A: Yes. If someone is picking up your packet, please give the person who is picking up your packet your ID or a photocopy of your ID.
Q: Can I run in the 5K instead of the Half Marathon?
A: Your Half Marathon bib number will work in the 5K starting corrals on May 17, 2014. When you pick up your packet, you will be receiving a Half Marathon bib and t-shirt. However, on race morning, simply place yourself in the 5K starting corrals. You will receive a 5K Finisher’s Medal at the end of the event.
Q: I have a friend who cannot participate in the event, can I take his/her place?
A: Each participant must have his/her own registration. In the event of an emergency, race official must have emergency contact information on hand, therefore you are NOT allowed to participate using someone else’s registration. There are NO exceptions to this policy.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: There are no refunds for the Half marathon or 5K events.
Q: Do I have to return my timing chip?
A: No, we are utilizing disposable timing chips which will be affixed to the back of your bib.
