Performance Highlights: The 4th Annual St.Vincent Geist Half Marathon and 5K will bring in 6,500 runners and walkers to “race around the reservoir.” Working with schools, this event will benefit local children’s health and wellness programs in the Geist area. Entertainment is being sought to inspire “Geist’s Guests” to complete the 13.1 mile course as they meander through many affluent residential neighborhoods.

Benefits: There are many highlights to performing in front of the 4,000 participants in the St.Vincent Geist Half Marathon, 2,500 participants in the 5K and the 750 volunteers:

  • Group name and booking information listed on the St.Vincent Geist Half web site (www.GeistHalf.com).
  • Group name listed in “Thank you” ad placed in the “atGeist Community Newsletter”, thanking you for entertaining at the St.Vincent Geist Half Marathon & 5K.
  • Group signage may also be displayed at your performance location as long as it does not interfere with the race (Signage may only be 3’x 6’).

Time: The St.Vincent Geist Half Marathon begins at 7:30 a.m., which means your group must be at their assigned location by 6:30 a.m.  Everyone will finish by noon, with some groups ending earlier, depending on your location on the course.

Where: Along the 13.1 mile Mini-Marathon course and the 3.1 mile 5K course.  Performance locations will be mailed in early April. Most locations are near businesses along the route.

Equipment: All groups will be responsible for supplying their own equipment.  The Half Marathon will provide access to electricity, either from a business or a generator.  Please be specific when completing the application, so we can best accommodate your group. If you have your own generator, please note this as well.

Notification & Orientation: Confirmation letters will be mailed upon receipt of your application and demo tape/CD.  Selection will occur in mid April with selection letters going out in late April.  Location assignments will be mailed in early May.  All groups will be required to attend an Orientation Meeting on May 8 (more details will be included in confirmation materials).  Entertainment groups will be capped at 18.
