What is Course Entertainment?
The Geist Half is a dynamic, festive community event drawing runners and walkers from all over. Each year we seek to line the course route with spirit squads and entertainment groups to cheer on our participants. Your group may be large or small, and it may feature cheer routines, high-energy dance and/or music, posters, noisemakers, or any other approved activity. Bring us your ideas!
Are there any benefits for participants?
Yes! In addition to the inherent benefit of supporting a worthwhile community event with thousands of participants, we are committed to providing your group with the following:
Great! What should we bring?
All groups are responsible for supplying their own equipment, signage, and other items. Geist Half will provide access to electricity, if requested.
Registration must be received by April 30, 2016. All participants must sign waivers prior to participation – no exceptions! We will let you know your course location, registration and waiver details, and parking instructions on or before May 13, 2016. Signage must not interfere with the race, may not exceed 3’x 6’, and must be provided by the group. Sponsorships and/or third party promotions are prohibited. Requests for electric hook-up must be received no later than April 30, 2016.
Please also let us know if you plan to supply your own generator.
